The web-site www.dijete.org is dedicated to child protection and social inclusion in Bosnia and Herzegovina and provides an insight into the implementation of project activities contributing to the enhancement of the position of vulnerable groups of children and their families in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the period from 2003 till 2009, the Independent Bureau for Humanitarian Issues (IBHI) implemented a number of projects related to child protection. In 2009, the Initiative for Better and Humane Inclusion (IBHI), as the legal successor, took over the further implementation of projects that were funded by UNICEF. Based on a long and fruitful UNICEF/IBHI collaboration, a number of projects aimed at enhancing child protection and social inclusion systems, whereby a special attention is given to approaches including programming of child protection activities based on human rights, client/oriented activities, and above all contribute to a continuous development and strengthening of a mixed system of child protection. These approaches are also client-oriented and contribute to a continuous development and strengthening of a mixed system of child protection. They are also multidisciplinary and cross-sectorial.

Within the implementation of UNICEF/IBHI projects models of development of child protection and social inclusion have been developed in 24 municipalities in BiH so far: Bugojno, Vares, Teslic, Gradiska, Kakanj, Donji Vakuf, Breza, Pranjavor, Srbac, Gorazde, Istocna Ilidza, Kiseljak, Drvar, Foca, Novi Grad Sarajevo, Bileca, Visegrad, Novi Travnik, Sanski Most, Livno, Laktasi, Novi Grad (RS) and Kotor Varos (for more information on projects see «About Project»).
